Deb Crowe is the CEO of Davwill Consulting, a company focused on helping business leaders move towards a heart-led leadership model. Deb talks to The Industry Leaders about her journey so far.


How did you end up sitting where you are today?

Through resilience and a powerful mindset.


What kind of work does your role involve?

The Heart-Centered Leadership model that I developed aligns with my coaching program. I work with senior team leads all the way to C-Suite to lead with heart.


What gets you excited about your industry?

Being different.

Disrupting habits.


What's the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Why not you?


What are the best ways to support aspiring leaders in your field?

Listening.

Being relatable.

Owning and modelling my own heart-centred leadership.


How do you keep up to speed with what's happening in your industry?

I am a voracious reader, badass listener and limitless observer.


What was the most challenging project or situation you've overcome?

Losing 5 executives to cancer. Holding their hand at the end of their lives and making them a promise that I would do something to end the leadership burnout and dysfunction. Through this experience, I moved from being a generalist to a preventionist.





You finish work today and step outside the office to find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do?

Start a non-profit for women that would not otherwise have an opportunity to grow, learn and BE the best version of themselves.


How do you switch off after a day at work?

Meditate. Pause. Get quiet. I am a yoga teacher, and these are fundamental elements of my practice.


If you had one wish for the future of your industry, what would it be?

To be different. To lose the cliches and see everyone as an individual and not be "grouped" into the sector.


What book or podcast should everyone know about?

Mine! It's called imperfect: The Heart-Centered Leadership Podcast, and we commenced Season 2 this week. In season 1, I interviewed 100 leaders!
