How did you end up sitting where you are today?

I used to be a quality assurance manager and went solo as a technical copywriter in 2009.


What kind of work does your role involve?

Writing website pages, blogs and case studies for B2B clients. I also help people to optimise their LinkedIn profile and build a better LinkedIn presence.


What gets you excited about your industry?

I love explaining how stuff works!


What's the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Pick one place and commit to being known there.


What, or who inspires you?

I love the scientific method and understanding how people and the world work.


How do you keep up to speed with what's happening in your industry?

Audiobooks and podcasts, as well as discussions on LinkedIn and Clubhouse.

What was the most challenging project or situation you've overcome?

Anything with a bad client brief. These lead to confusion and frustration, always.



You finish work today and step outside the office to find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do?

Help people get equal access to economic opportunity.


How do you switch off after a day at work?

Playing with the puppy! Or a good film.


If you had one wish for the future of your industry, what would it be?

More focus on visuals and personal branding.
