Nicci Lou, Founder at Amplify to Thrive

UK-based Nicci Lou speaks to The Industry Leaders about how her work and what she's learned on her entrepreneurial journey.

What's Your Story?

I'm a former Senior Intensive Care Nurse, that provides ‘words backed by science' as an Award-winning, Copyhackers Certified Copywriter.

A recommended Conversion Strategist, and Founder of Amplify to Thrive. I've increased website traffic by 60% with authority building posts. And average a click-through rate on newsletters at 4-13% and 86% on 5-email welcome sequences.

I can't be everyone's person, but I help aligned coaches use their client's voices in sales pages and emails so they can sell more and thrive. In that way, I can positively impact millions of people's lives and especially those who’ve been kept small. Endorsed by Tamsin Henderson, Carrie Montogmory and Selena Soo, I've been featured in She Owns it, Out News Global and Mo2Vate Magazine among others where I talk about Building Authority, Brand Positioning and Messaging and work/ life balance.

When not working you'll find me on a beach on the Sussex coast, or dancing in a field with my homeschooled children.

You can travel back in time to Day 1 of your business or career - what advice would you give to younger-you, knowing what you know now?

Everyone has their own way. None of them is your way. And nothing you do will stop you from going down pathways you don't need to go down. And you can't prevent new business from doing the same.

It's all part of the journey to success. We are all only ready to hear about the right way for us once we have figured out the wrong way. And that's OK. The important thing is to be consistent and build those relationships with each other so you're ready when your colleagues are ready to use you. So don't listen to too many other voices or you won't be able to hear your own.

What one book or podcast changed your life?

Hot Copy Podcast is what took me from a local blog writer, trying to make money from selling short stories, to a Copywriter. That and any and all of the courses on Udemy by Tamsin Henderson.

I think it was the memberships, being surrounded by peers and having the ear of the successful like Abbi Perets, Belinda Weaver, Jacob McMillan and Jo Wiebe, though, that really shaped the business owner in me. Dipt Tait's mediation also has helped me step into my own brand voice.

Bookwise, The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt is a good one for all business owners as it has you rethink the flow within what you offer.
