Our editorial programme

Editorial & Advertising Policy

The Industry Leaders is an independent editorial platform. This page explains how our content is produced, how we make money, and how we keep the two separate.

Our Editorial Programme

The centrepiece of The Industry Leaders is our annual Top 25 recognition programme, alongside editorial features and interviews selected by our team.

Recognition on our lists cannot be bought, requested, or fast-tracked. Honourees are evaluated independently by our editorial team based on publicly verifiable activity — including professional presence, published output, community impact, and industry recognition over the preceding 12 months. There is no fee to be nominated or selected, and no commercial relationship with The Industry Leaders has any bearing on selection.

Paid and contributed content

Alongside our editorial programme, The Industry Leaders publishes content on a commercial basis. This includes:

Contributor articles. Some articles are produced by approved third-party contributors who may have a commercial relationship with the individuals, companies, or services featured in their content. These articles are produced independently by the contributor and published on a compensated basis. We are progressively updating our article archive so this type of content is clearly labelled.

Premium interviews and columnist profiles. Executives and business owners can purchase interview features and Leadership Columnist profiles. This content is attributed to the individual, reflects their own views, and is published as part of a paid visibility partnership.

Written-for-you thought leadership. Where our team produces content on behalf of an executive, it is published under that individual's byline with their approval and reflects their views, not those of The Industry Leaders.

Paid or contributed content is published for informational purposes. Inclusion of any company, product, or service does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement, or accreditation by The Industry Leaders.

Link policy

In line with Google's guidelines on paid placements, outbound links within paid or contributed content carry the rel="sponsored" attribute.

Why we publish this policy

We believe transparency protects everyone — our readers, our contributors, and the value of the recognition we award. If you have a question about any content on this site, contact us at contact@theindustryleaders.org.
