Helen Pinkett, Alignment Coach - Helen Pinkett

Multi-skilled Helen Pinkett has founded a wedding styling and planning business and undertaken social media management and VA work in the past. Her latest venture focuses on alignment and helps people unlock their inner energy. Read about Helen's interesting journey here.

How did you end up sitting where you are today?

My background is in hospitality. I come from a hotel background that gave me many skills, working in sales and marketing, events, front office, and management level. I often say that it's how I learnt to do so many things at once!

My first business, which is still thriving, is I Do Weddings - Styling & Planning, where I started using my knowledge of weddings from my hotel days. I have dipped my toe into social media management and virtual assistant work, but I am where I am today as my own journey of personal development and healing led me to train so I can help others too.

What kind of work does your role involve?

I work with my clients to help them release blocks to success and fulfilling their potential. I help them find their way back to flow and alignment using a combination of energy healing techniques along with mindset mentoring.

I have several tools to help my clients and can adapt and personalise each programme to suit the individual. I use Energy Editing, The Ease Method and Gamma Mindset Coaching along with intuitive mentoring to guide clients back to feeling motivated, confident and clear.

What gets you excited about your industry?

I get really excited by the possibilities of what we can do when we tap into our energetic power.

I love the amazing things people can achieve and the changes they realise in their lives when they work on themselves using energy healing. In this industry, there are always new techniques and ways of thinking coming to light. It's literally a never-ending pandora's box of tricks with so many ways to help people be their best selves.

I'm excited as there is limitless potential to explore

What's the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Follow your intuition and do what feels right for you.

I must say this several times a day to clients or in a roundabout way on social media!

Connecting to your inner voice when making decisions is key, and going with, I often say if it feels right, then go for it. If not, then don't

I make all my decisions based on intuition, and it hasn't let me down yet.

What, or who inspires you?

My Dad inspires me. He has always enjoyed working on various projects (it's where I get my 'multi-potentialite' personality from!) and at 76 is project managing the build of a rather large house and getting stuck into the manual labour alongside the workmen. Dad is also an adrenaline-seeking rally driver racing classic cars as his hobby!

He has always been a fantastic support, and I admire how he just gets on with things and is as active as someone much younger!

How do you keep up to speed with what's happening in your industry?

I use social media a lot to keep up to date and follow people I look up to.

I stay connected with like-minded others through The Inspired Souls Facebook group, a community I have created with over 1.3k members, so there is a huge wealth of knowledge and experience in one space. I also run and attend networking events to make new connections and learn from others.

What was the most challenging project or situation you've overcome?

This past year has been extremely challenging. My weddings and events business ground to a halt, so I have been really focusing on Alignment Coaching, which I launched last summer whilst in lockdown.

My work is designed to be conducted online, so I feel fortunate that I have been able to see clients and work throughout.

You finish work today and step outside the office to find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do?

The first thing I would do is thank the Universe! I have been manifesting this for years!

I would buy a house with office space in the garden, treat myself to a new car, invest in a business coach and more training courses and a ton more books. I would also take some time out to go on a trip to the US.

How do you switch off after a day at work?

Getting the heart rate up by running along the canal towpath near my home, getting muddy and enjoying the great outdoors.

For a slower pace, I love yoga and meditating as well as chilling out with a good Netflix boxset binge!

If you had one wish for the future of your industry, what would it be?

I hope that more people will understand the power of energy and how it works. It's been life-changing for me!

What book or podcast should everyone know about?

Oooh, this is a tough one; I have SO many favourite books!

Two books that were game-changers for me are The Chimp Paradox by Prof Steve Peters and The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, which is all about the law of attraction and blew my mind. I found that book to be life-changing!

I also love The Untethered Soul by Michael A Singer. I highly recommend this book for delving into your relationship with your thoughts and emotions. It inspires you to look inside for inner peace and is an enlightening read.

I also love all of Jen Sincero's books and anything by Denise Duffield Thomas.
