Firstly, can you give us a little bit of background about your business journey?
I was an accidental business owner as the owner of the business I was working for wanted to sell the business and I choose to purchase the company to continue to offer the service and serve the clients I had built up, as this was an extremely busy and stressful time I ended up with health issues and those health issues lead to me qualifying as a Clinical Nutritionist and Hypnotherapist and starting my current business.
What role has self-belief played in your journey as a business leader? How has it influenced your decision-making and overall success?
I had the self-belief that I could solve my own health issues and others with their physical and mental well-being and that passion for helping others has kept my going and lead to overall success.
Can you share a specific moment or challenge in your journey where your self-belief was tested? How did you overcome it and what did you learn from that experience?
A specific moment where my self belief was tested was when I choose to switch careers, I signed up to work with a business mentor and although I did get some support from her a a mentor, the majority of the support and long term support came from friendships with others on the same programme. I also started to learn more about managing my mind, and meditation, I trained as a Mediation Teacher and a Positive EFT Facilitator and these techniques along with having a support network is so important and these are a few of the things I leaned from that experience.
How do you cultivate and maintain a mindset of self-belief amidst the inevitable ups and downs of life?
I cultivate and maintain a mindset of self belief by having the support of a network of positive business owners, daily exercise and self hypnosis.
Are there any specific strategies or practices you follow to boost your self-confidence when facing uncertainties or setbacks in your business?
Specific strategies I use to boost self-confidence are EFT, self hypnosis and learning to ask and explore the question of how uncertainties and setbacks can become opportunities (PS sounds simple but it is not always easy and takes practice and perseverance) I have also found that my lifestyle, the foods I eat and movement / exercise has a big impact on creating resilience that boosts self confidence and this is what I help guide my clients with as well.
How do you handle self-doubt or negative self-talk that may arise as a business leader? Do you have any specific techniques for reframing negative thoughts?
After years of working on this I have very few moments of self doubt and negative talk and the one strategy that really worked for me was talking out loud to myself - not always recommended in public! But repeatedly saying out loud STOP! Is this true? How could this be different - I have found that often when we try and change thoughts in our own head it is not always easy as they are our thoughts but when you speak out loud you can stop and change the thoughts - the more your practice the easier it becomes - in simple terms...... What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs who struggle with self-belief? How can they start building a stronger sense of confidence and belief in themselves?
Remind yourself of all the times you have been successful, remember that failing is often learning ... the quicker you fail, the quicker you learn and the quicker you move forward and find a supportive network of like minded people who can support you, encourage you and you can offer help and support - when we help others it makes it easier to step out of negativity and into confidence and self belief.
Have you ever encountered external skepticism or negativity regarding your business ideas or decisions? How do you stay grounded in your self-belief despite external influences?
Yes often but my passion for what I do, the success of clients past and present and my husband help keep me grounded in my self-belief.

Finally, what are some practical tips or exercises you can recommend for entrepreneurs to strengthen their self-belief and mindset on a regular basis?
Find what makes you feel good and gives you a high vibration and high energy as that will create long term resilience and when you feel good it is easier to strengthen your self belief and have a positive mindset and do that - suggestion are walking, being in nature, mediation, journalling, breath work, EFT, dancing, literally anything that make you feel good. Make sure it fits in your day and the time you have available and do it consistently until it becomes a habit.
