You can travel back in time to Day 1 of your business or career - what advice would you give to younger-you, knowing what you know now?
Don’t give up! Building a business from ‘nothing’ to successful takes a lot of resilience and hard/smart work. It’s going to be hard, especially as you grow, but it’s worth it – believe in what you’re doing.
Always remember your purpose and mission as this will ground you when times are hard and remind you of why you’re putting all of yourself into the work you do and is a reminder that individuals and businesses can have a real impact on society with a little more awareness and reflection.
What one book or podcast changed your life?
Inclusion Nudges by Lisa Kepinski & Tinna C Nielsen.
I’d been working with DEI in the learning and strategic space for some time when I discovered this book (4 years ago). But this was the first one that made it seem achievable and actionable with fantastic tips, activities, and ideas.
We've recommended and used it with our clients to show them how much more effective DEI initiatives are when they create ‘default inclusion’.
